One of Canada’s best directors MONTREAL GAZETTE
Andrew is a 2-time META award-winning. His French language production of Grease for Juste Pour Rire has sold over 100,000 tickets. His production of the Tony Award-winning musical Once runs at the Segal Centre in Montreal through October 2018.
A couple (selected) words on his past…
Andrew was the Canadian Artistic Director of the Montreal/Brooklyn based international creation SaBooge Theatre from 2000-2007, during which time SaBooge developed original productions that toured from Montreal to Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Philadelphia, NYC, Galway and Dublin. At one point the Irish Times had the gall to call them “one of the most interesting theatre collectives in North America.”
He has been the Artistic Director of SideMart Theatrical Grocery since the sleepy dissolution of SaBooge in 2007. The Irish Times hasn’t had the gall to say a damn thing about SideMart.
He spent 3 seasons assistant directing at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, 2 of which were spent as part of the Michael Langham Conservatory for Classical Direction (a markedly different experience than his previous training at the Lecoq School in Paris). He also had the immense pleasure of assisting Robert Falls on The Iceman Cometh featuring Nathan Lane, Brian Dennehy and Stephen Ouimette at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago.
